Maintenance
Bathroom accessories
When you purchase new items for your bathroom, you want them to stay beautiful for a long time. It is recommended that these products be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth when dirt residue is visible. Never use abrasives, chlorine or cleaning agents containing hydrochloric acid.

Screws
If you choose to drill, make sure you do not use the drill's hammer or drill hammer position. These positions are too hard for your (delicate) tiles. Before you start you should check that there are no pipes behind the wall where you want to place the accessories.
Then draw the drill holes of the wall plate (spirit level) on the wall, so you know where the holes should be. Painter's tape stuck where you want to drill will make your drill slip less quickly, so your tiles remain better protected. Then start drilling slowly and gradually increase the speed. When the holes are drilled, carefully tap the plugs in the holes with your hammer. Then screw on the mounting plate, hang on your Tiger accessories and tighten it with the Allen key.
Step-by-step guide: Drilling into tiles
Drilling into tiles can be a bit nerve-wracking—you don’t want to damage your beautiful tiles. To minimize the risk as much as possible, we’ve created a step-by-step guide, along with some tips and an instructional video.
Step-by-step guide:
- Use a pencil to mark exactly where the holes need to be on the tile.
- If you need two holes, use a spirit level to draw a straight line before marking the second hole.
- Drill the holes.
- Insert the plugs and press them firmly into the hole (if needed, use a rubber mallet).
- Mount your accessory.
Tips for drilling
- Use the right drill bit: Always check if you have the correct drill size. Also, different surfaces require different drill bits—tiles are no exception.
- Don’t apply too much pressure: Use a cordless drill and let the drill bit do the work.
- Use painter’s tape: If your tiles are very smooth, the drill bit might slip. Reduce this risk by placing painter’s tape over the spot where you’ll be drilling.
- Cool while drilling: You can do this easily by spraying water during drilling, for example, using a spray bottle or mist sprayer. This is especially important when drilling into hard tile materials.
Pasting
Some bathroom and toilet accessories of Tiger are equipped with a powerful double-sided tape so mounting on any smooth, solid surface is very easy. You start by choosing where to place your accessory. Then you clean the substrate thoroughly so that no dirt remains between the tape and the substrate.
Place the accessories where you want and you are done!
